my stay at chateau lodge was wonderful! the bed was very comfortable, and the room was a cozy size. I loved the location right across the river from the blackhawk statue. it was just perfect for a peaceful retreat. overall, everything went well during my two nights there.
the amenities felt a bit outdated.

Consider requesting a room with updated amenities to ensure a comfortable stay—my accommodations felt a bit dated.

location across from Blackhawk statue, cozy room atmosphere, lovely views
The internet connection felt unreliable!!! The towels could use replacing, one even had a hole in it!!! It seems like a simple communication system for cleaning requests would help a lot!!!

Plot twist, it’s actually great!
This charming spot has a delightful kitch vibe, with comfy beds in cozy rooms. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed lovely views and easy access to unique local attractions, like the Blackhawk statue. It's a blend of old-school charm and enough updates to make your stay pleasant. Highly recommended!

The lodge had a unique charm that I truly appreciated. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, which made me feel right at home. I enjoyed a lovely garden view every morning, perfect for sipping coffee while soaking in the surroundings.
The amenities felt a bit outdated, lacking some modern conveniences I expected.

The lodge offered a clean atmosphere and well-maintained common areas, which I appreciated. My room had lovely views that allowed me to soak in the scenery each morning. The bed felt comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep. Internet access was a bit of an issue. I had it in the evening but struggled to connect in the morning when I needed it for checking the radar for my fishing trip. It felt frustrating not being able to check emails or my social media when I'd hoped to. On the positive side, the vintage decor added unique charm, making the stay memorable. I found the host welcoming and enjoyed my time despite the modern conveniences lacking. Overall, more consistent internet access would greatly improve the experience.

I really enjoyed my time here. the unique decor and comfy bed made my nights relaxing. There were lovely spots to unwind, like the cozy garden seating and a peaceful patio for morning coffee. A small downside was that the linens could have been fresher, but it didn't take away from my experience. 😊

The room was clean and well-kept (the bathroom sparkled! ). The motel's older charm was pleasant, with beautiful views from our Queen Room across the river from the Blackhawk statue. Very close to restaurants, and the Blackhawk Steak Pit across the street was excellent.
There was nothing I didnt like.

Had a cozy stay! The bed was super comfy, and the room was just the right size to feel snug. Loved being right by the river, so picturesque!
But, darling, the internet connection was as reliable as a chocolate teapot—timed out on me when I desperately needed it! And that shower? Let's just say it was a bit more rustic than I prefer.
